  Q: How Do You Replace Halogen Headlight Bulbs on Kia Sportage?

  A: Halogen gas filled bulbs are under high pressure, and touching the surface, or in case the bulb is dropped, they may explode, thus when handling these bulbs, safety glasses and preferably only the bulb base when holding them. Do not touch the surface of the bulb directly with fingers or oil that is from the skin can cause overheating and eventually the bulb fails; in case your fingers touched the bulb, use rubbing alcohol to wipe the bulb. For 1994 and 1995 models, begin the process by removing the electrical connector of the Headlight bulb by holding the connector on two clips at the sides and pulling it.
