    Q:
How do you replace Fog Light Bulb and exterior light bulbs on Kia Optima? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacing light bulb that is situated outside the car begins at front turn signal bulb by first unbolting the headlight housing to access the bulb. To remove the bulb holder twist the curved part anti-clockwise and to fit the bulb twist the curved part as clockwise and push the bulb into the holder. Turn on the holder to lock it then screw the new bulb by putting it appropriately and turning it clockwise. For front side marker bulbs, lift the car and remove the inner fender splash shield, pinch the wiring connection, and push the housing through the bumper. Twist the bulb socket anti-clockwise to unlock it, install the new/defective bulb, and fix it back into position by twisting it clockwise. Make sure the housing is inserted well into the bumper cover. For fog lamp bulbs, slightly lift the vehicle, then unplug the connection, and unscrew the socket in anti-clockwise direction before removing it. Change the bulb and replace the socket back, and make sure the electrical connection is in the right position. Pop up the centre high-mounted brake light bulb from the luggage compartment by twisting the socket anti-clockwise to remove the bulb, replace it then check if it is functioning correctly. For rear brake/tail, turn signal, and back up light bulbs, locate the taillight assembly cover inside the trunk and then unscrew the bulb socket in an anti-clockwise direction to put in the new bulbs. License plate bulbs call for removal of lens retaining screws, turning the bulb socket anti-clockwise and are replaced by the bulb. For interior light bulbs, you have to unscrew the cover of the dome light, glove box light, map light and door warning light with the help of a small screwdriver, then fit new bulbs in their place, and finally place the cover back.

    Q:
How do you replace interior lights such as instrument cluster illumination bulbs for the 2013 Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer
    A:
Instrument cluster illumination bulbs are not separately serviceable. For courtesy lights, pry off the lens and disconnect the electrical connector. For dome/cargo lights, pry off the lens to access the bulb. Liftgate lights require prying off the lens to remove the bulb. Overhead console reading lights involve prying off the lens cover to access the bulb, and vanity lights also require lens cover removal to replace the bulb.
