    Q:
How do you remove and replace Fog Light Bulb and exterior light bulbs on Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove exterior light bulbs, start with the front park and turn signal bulbs by removing the headlight housing, rotating the bulb socket counterclockwise, and taking out the bulb from the socket before installing a new one. For front fog light bulbs, raise the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, rotate the bulb socket counterclockwise, and replace the bulb and socket as a unit. For the center high-mounted brake light bulb on 2005 and earlier models, open the lift gate, pry off the cover, rotate and remove the bulb holder, and replace the bulb. On 2006 and later models, open the lift gate, remove the housing screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and replace the entire assembly. For taillight bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the retaining screws, pull the assembly away from the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, and for 2005 and earlier models, disconnect the electrical connectors from the sockets, remove the housing, and replace the bulbs. For license plate light bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the lens cover screw, and for 2005 and earlier models, turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it, then pull the bulb from the socket. Interior lights include instrument cluster illumination bulbs, which are not separately serviceable; courtesy lights, which require prying off the lens and disconnecting the electrical connector; dome/cargo lights, where the lens is pried off to access the bulb; liftgate lights, which involve prying off the lens to remove the bulb; overhead console reading lights, where the lens cover is pried off to access the bulb; and vanity lights, which also require lens cover removal to replace the bulb. Installation for all bulbs is the reverse of removal.

    Q:
How do you remove and replace a headlight bulb on Kia Sorento? Posted by Customer
    A:
Brazen the headlight housing if the wiring harnesses are disconnected while performing the operation. They are located inside and can be rather easily replaced but they are better changed on a workbench when they are disassembled. Twist off the cover that is on the back of the headlight housing. Eliminate the wiring, afterwards, unclasp the spring and remove the bulb covered with a spring wire which was inserted before. Carefully, do not touch the bulb glass with the bare hand then replace the new bulb assembly into the headlight housing. Then the bulb retaining spring has been installed and wiring has been done. Last, the cover should be properly fixed, and the wiring harness connected, and the headlight assembly put back into place.

    Q:
How Do You Replace Halogen Headlight Bulbs on Kia Spectra? Posted by Customer
    A:
Halogen gas filled bulbs are under high pressure, and touching the surface, or in case the bulb is dropped, they may explode, thus when handling these bulbs, safety glasses and preferably only the bulb base when holding them. Do not touch the surface of the bulb directly with fingers or oil that is from the skin can cause overheating and eventually the bulb fails; in case your fingers touched the bulb, use rubbing alcohol to wipe the bulb. For 1994 and 1995 models, begin the process by removing the electrical connector of the headlight bulb by holding the connector on two clips at the sides and pulling it. Second, turn the headlight bulb retaining ring anticlockwise to release it and finally, extract the bulb from about the housing. When replacing a headlight bulb, the customer should touch only the bottom of the bulb, and then it should be inserted on the headlight assembly so that the tabs would fit with the holes of the assembly, and the end cap should be twisted clockwise. Reconnect the electrical connector. For all of the 1995-1/2 and newer models, to take the headlight bulb cover, this has to be rotated anticlockwise, the electrical connector also has to be removed, the retaining wire unsnapped and the bulb has to be pulled out. To install the new bulb, it is required to fit it into the housing: adjust the three tabs of the bulb base with the three slots of the housing before fixing it, and other actions are done in reverse of the steps mentioned above.
