Before taking off the front bumper of the 2009 and earlier models, you should unplug the cable of the negative terminal of the battery, set the parking brake, lift the car and support it with jackstands. Pull the wires from the fog lights if exist and then retrieved headlight housing from right or left side. Kickstart at the rear tail light housing, then open the lift gate and raise the weather strip, then unscrew the upper bumper cover screws where situated at the top of the bumper cover. Lift the vehicle and ensure it is properly supported on jackstands and then loosen all the lower screws that attached the bumper cover to the frame and to the wheel well liners, and the screws on each side which attached the bumper cover to the under part of the wheel wells. Flip the car and turn off the breaker while inspecting with a flashlight to ascertain that everything is disconnected from the bumper cover and then remove the bumper cover. Removal is the opposite of installation.
