To service the master cylinder for 2004 through 2006 models, drain the clutch fluid through the bleeder screw, ensuring to catch it in a container or with rags to avoid contact with painted surfaces. Disconnect the clutch pushrod from the pedal by removing the cotter pin, washer, and clevis pin while working under the instrument panel. Next, disconnect the clutch tubing from the master cylinder, remove the mounting bolts, and detach the master cylinder from the firewall. For installation, reverse the removal steps and bleed the system. For 2011 and later models, drain the clutch fluid through the bleeder screw at the transaxle, clamp off the fluid feed hose from the brake master cylinder, and detach the hose from the master cylinder. Use a flare-nut wrench to unscrew the hydraulic line fitting, then remove the clutch pedal bracket mounting bolts and detach the bracket from the firewall. Unscrew the mounting bolts to remove the master cylinder from the clutch pedal bracket, and for installation, reverse the removal steps and bleed the system. To service the release cylinder for 2004 through 2006 models, raise the vehicle securely on jackstands, disconnect the clutch fluid hydraulic line from the release cylinder using a flare-nut wrench, and have rags and a plug ready to prevent leakage. Remove the two mounting bolts and separate the release cylinder from the transmission. For installation, reverse the removal steps, ensuring the pushrod dust boot is in good condition and the pushrod is seated correctly in its pocket in the release lever, then tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque and bleed the clutch hydraulic system. For 2011 and later models, remove the transaxle from the vehicle, detach the concentric release cylinder/release bearing from the transaxle, and for installation, reverse the removal steps and bleed the clutch hydraulic system.
