For 2009 and earlier models, begin by loosening the wheel lug nuts, raising the vehicle, and securely supporting it on jackstands before removing the wheel. On 4WD models, remove the driveaxle/hub nut. Next, take out the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle, followed by the brake caliper and brake disc, ensuring the caliper is hung with wire and not by the brake line. Disconnect the tie-rod end and the upper and lower control arms from the steering knuckle, then remove the steering knuckle. On 4WD models, push the driveaxle out of the hub with a puller, being cautious not to overextend the inner CV joint, and support the driveaxle with wire. For installation, reverse the removal steps, tightening all suspension and brake fasteners to the specified torque values, and finally tighten the lug nuts. For 2011 and later models, start by loosening the driveaxle/hub nut, then loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands before removing the wheel. If the socket does not fit through the wheel opening, loosen the driveaxle/hub nut after removing the wheel, using an assistant to apply the brake or placing a prybar across two wheel studs to prevent hub rotation. Remove the wheel speed sensor from the knuckle and the brake disc from the hub, then loosen the strut-to-steering knuckle bolt nuts without removing them. Separate the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle arm, then separate the balljoint from the steering knuckle and pull the control arm down, allowing for the removal of the strut-to-knuckle bolts. Push the driveaxle from the hub and support its end with wire, then separate the steering knuckle from the strut. For installation, guide the knuckle and hub assembly into position, inserting the driveaxle into the hub, and push the knuckle into the strut flange, installing the bolts and nuts without tightening them yet. Connect the balljoint to the control arm and install the pinch bolt and nut without tightening, then attach the tie-rod to the steering knuckle arm and tighten the strut bolt nuts and tie-rod nut to the specified torque values, replacing all cotter pins with new ones. Place the brake disc on the hub and install the caliper and wheel speed sensor, then install the driveaxle/hub nut and tighten it to the torque. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
