    Q:
How do I remove and install a blower motor and Blower Motor Resistor in a Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the cable connecting the negative terminal of the battery from the vehicle. Lift the rear console to access the blower motor area and disconnect the blower motor's fasteners and cover if they exist or pull the insulation down at the rear glove box. Remove the electrical connectors that are related to the blower motor power. Note: Cars with self-regulating temperature system employ a power module rather than a blower motor resistor. Both are mounted and joined in similar way. Take off the mounting fasteners and pull the unit out of the heater/air conditioning housing. Removal is the exact opposite of installation. The blower motor and the blower wheel are therefore from the manufacturer in harmony and are fitted only as a unit. The electrical connector of the blower motor should be disconnected. Retrieve the blower motor mounting bolts, then take out the blower motor. Removal is the process of dismantling a system while installation is the opposite of removal. Disconnect/reduce the rear heating and air conditioning housing. Note: All models made in 2006 and later equipped with Power Mosfet and not the blower motor resistor. Both are similar in how they are installed and interfaced. Take off the rear quarter panel trim, and unplug the connector to the blower motor resistor/Mosfet. Take out the mounting fasteners and pull out the unit away from the heater/air conditioning housing. This involves the process opposite to the removal, it involves placing the plant and equipment back at their initial positions. The blower motor and the blower wheel are assembled together at the time of manufacturing and should only be replaced together. Take off the connector that provides power to the blower motor. Take off all the screws that hold the blower motor at the back of the housing. Take off the blower motor from the housing you have identified. Removal: Installation is the exact opposite of removal.
