    Q:
How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor and Mass Air Flow Sensor on Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer
    A:
MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is situated in the air inlet duct on vehicles having the production date of 2005 and earlier models. Models from year 2006 to 2010 used a MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor located near the outlet of the airtank, while all other models used a BARO/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor at the same location. First of all, there should be a loose connection of the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Subsequently, one has to remove the electrical connection of the sensor as well. In the models produced up to 2005, there will be screws that should be unscrewed so that the sensor can be pulled out of the duct. For the model range between 2006 and 2010, it is required to unscrew the clamp and to disconnect the ducts from the sensor housing then, the two bolts are to be undone to remove the sensor from the air filter housing cover. For the models after 2011, you have to unscrew a bolt to release the sensor from the air filter housing outlet. Removal is done in a sequence that is opposite of installation.

    Q:
How do you replace the MAP/IAT sensor and the BPS/IAT sensor in Kia Sorento? Posted by Customer
    A:
On four cylinder vehicles MAP/IAT sensor is mounted on the intake manifold at the end of the air inlet tube. Start by unscrewing the cable that connects to the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the electrical connector of the MAP/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor. Subsequently, extract the mounting bolt and slide out the sensor from the intake manifold; the process of installation is done in a reverse manner. For 2011 And Later V6 Models, You'll Be Using A Barometric Pressure/Intake Manifold Temperature (BPS/IAT) Sensor That Is Mounted On Top Of The Air Filter Housing: First, Loosen The Cable Connecting The Negative Terminal Of The Battery. After that unbend the electrical connector to the BPS/IAT sensor, unbolt its mounting bolts and then pull out the sensor above the air filter housing and its installation process will be the reverse of the extraction process.
