Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing

The Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing is a crucial component that plays a huge role in increasing the reliability or performance of Kia Spectra car models. Specifically meant to take the shock of road humps and reduce road noise, the Sway Bar Bushing lies right on the sway bar or the stabilizer bar that is responsible for reducing and controlling body sway during cornering. It is crucial for providing more control, stability and safety of the cars apart from different driving environments. The Kia Spectra models manufactured between the years 2000 to 2009 generally have both the front and the rear sway bars with both the sway bar bushings for the two. These bushings normally wear and tear; therefore, they should be maintained appropriately to prevent a Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing having poor handing characteristics, produce rattling sound, and steering problem hence causing insecure driving. Contrary to what most people think, the Sway Bar Bushing is not just a quaint little component that simply makes the ride more comfortable, although, it does help with that, in fact, it plays a role in the efficiency of the car and the drive. In particular, the Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing can be used with a number of variants of a Kia Spectra thereby providing maximum performance for drivers. Being perceived to confer durability and efficiency in taming the movement of the car, it is a unique product attribute in the automotive industry. Thus, by keeping the Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing in good condition at first-hand, it will not just make the trip as smooth as it can be, but will also provide safer turning and outstanding staking of the car's dependable trustworthiness that has been a staple of the Kia Spectra's compact vehicle line.

Kia Spectra Sway Bar Bushing Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the front Sway Bar Link and Sway Bar Bushing on Kia Spectra?
    A:
To work on the Septia and Spectra's front end, first remove all nuts from the wheel, lift up the vehicle's front with a jack, and place support under the car from jackstands. Press down the hand brake before using wheel blocks to keep the car from moving. Lift your car and remove the wheels. While using your Allen wrench, unscrew the ballstud nut from the connection between the lower Control Arm and the Sway Bar Link. During 1997 and older years, Sway Bar Bushing are connected to lower control arms with a screw, but from 2002 onward, they require mounting to front struts. First, lower the car onto jackstands. Then suspend the stabilizer bar. Check the bushings for cracks or damages. Replace them both if they get under your vehicle. And replace the links if the ballstud connections are not strong anymore. Deep clean the bushings and stabilizer bar, coat the bushings with vegetable or silicone oil, and slide them onto the bar. Use silicone or vegetable oil to lubricate your bushings. Petroleum and mineral oils will damage and break them down. Put the brackets and bolts in place, secure them to the right torques, and add the links to the bar before turning the link nuts tight. After putting on the wheel and bolts, return the car to the ground, and make sure all lug nut bolts reach their needed tightness levels.
