How to remove and install the bumper cover on Kia Sportage?

For the SEPHIA and SPECTRA models, begin by loosening the wheel lug nuts, raising the front of the vehicle, and securely supporting it on jackstands before removing the wheels. Detach the inner fender splash shield by removing its fasteners, and on later models, take off the upper radiator grille guard. Under the vehicle, detach the bolts or screws securing the lower edges of the bumper cover, then remove the retaining screws in the front wheel opening that secure the bumper cover to the fenderwell. Next, remove the headlight housings, followed by the fasteners securing the upper portion of the bumper cover, and pull the bumper cover away from the vehicle. For installation, reverse the removal steps. For the rear, raise the vehicle and support it on jackstands, then open the trunk to remove the inner trunk side and rear trim panels for access to the fasteners. Detach the plastic clips and screws securing the lower edge of the bumper cover, remove the screws in the rear wheel openings, and take out the taillight housings. Open the trunk or rear hatch to remove the screws and clips securing the upper edge of the bumper cover, then pull the bumper cover away from the vehicle, with installation being the reverse of removal. Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, and securely support it on jackstands before removing the rear wheels. Remove the leading edge fasteners from the rear wheel housings and from the lower edge of the bumper cover, with installation being the reverse of removal and ensuring the wheel lug nuts are tightened to the specified torque.
