- Q: How do you remove and install front Steering Knuckle on Kia Spectra?A: To de-assemble the components disengage some of the wheel lug nuts and the driveaxle/hub nut, after that lift up the front part of the automobile with the jack and support it using the jackstands. Engage the parking break, then use chocks to stop the rear wheels from moving. Put on the brake disc and then tighten it to the hub of the wheel , put on the caliper mounting bracket then fit the caliper. Embed a new driveaxle/hub nut on the stud and torque to specification, final torque to ne performed when the vehicle is again lowered. Place on the wheel and the lugs nuts, drop the vehicle, and further snug the lug nuts and the driveaxle/hub nut to the prescribed torque. Last but not the least, get the front-end alignment checked done and carry out the necessary adjustments.
